Men's vitamins help support specific male functions and a man's overall health

Men’s vitamins should contain vitamins and minerals that help maintain a man’s overall health and that help support specifically male functions and help lower the risk of common male health issues.

Men’s health supplements should contain Zinc, vitamin A and vitamin B6. Men over age 50 should make sure that their supplements contain extra Pantothenic Acid also known as vitamin B5, Zinc and Niacin. These help reduce the risk of high cholesterol, and help in hormone production. Teen boys also have a higher need for Zinc, and vitamin A. It has been found that teenage boys who have enough of these two supplements will have a better-developed immune system, and will have less acne.

By taking a closer look at the functions of these different vitamins and minerals it will be easy to see why many men need to have them in their supplements to maintain good health. Zinc is needed for functional fertility in men. Vitamin A is needed for skin health as well as the health of eyes and hair. Vitamin B6 is needed for good functioning of well over 60 different enzymes. Pantothenic Acid is needed for making glucose and fatty acids. It has also been found that in active males higher intakes of Pantothenic acid reduces lactic acid build up. Ginseng is often taken by men as a supplement to aid in sexual functions. It has been proven to help with impotence as well as increase sexual drive. Ginkgo is another herb that many men take as supplements. Ginkgo’s main use is to improve blood flow; many men have also seen an improvement in their sexual functions most likely because it increases blood flow. Niacin has been found to help prevent heart disease and control cholesterol.
